Yes! Basically, anyone can fly with us, there are a few restrictions that make indoor skydiving not possible with us:
In case of neck, back and shoulder problems, we advise you to report this to your instructor.
Contact lenses and glasses: Everyone receives a pair of goggles that fits over your glasses. If you have contact lenses, please inform your instructor. Then you will be given special glasses for lenses.”
The total experience for the recreational flyer is about 2 hours. This includes the process from check-in, instruction, to flying and receiving the flight certificate afterwards.
Each flight lasts 1 minute, which is equivalent to a tandem parachute jump from 4km (13,000ft). From this altitude, the free fall time is 60 seconds. However, most standard tandems in the Netherlands jump from 9,000ft and then your freefall time is about 30 seconds.
So if you booked a package with 4 flights, you fly 4 times 60 seconds. In between, other people fly.”
No cameras or phones are allowed with you during the flight and in the antechamber, the waiting area just next to the tunnel, due to safety reasons. Videos will be taken of you while flying. These will be offered by email for €10 and can be shared directly on social media.
Comfortable clothing, for example sports trousers and t-shirt. Preferably no outerwear with a collar.
In terms of shoes, please wear closed shoes with laces and soft soles, preferably trainers or sports shoes. Sandals, flip-flops and open shoes are not allowed.
We provide all guests with a suitable flightsuit, helmet, goggles and earplugs. If necessary, sports shoes can be borrowed from size 31 to size 47.
People with long hair, we recommend braiding it.”
Both disciplines are similar when it comes to flying with your body. Other than that, there are no similarities.
The difference is that in indoor skydiving, the flight is made in a vertical wind tunnel. Where powerful turbines create the “lift”. In outdoor skydiving, this is created by the fall from the plane. Where after about 35 seconds, the free fall is inhibited by the parachute.
In indoor skydiving, you have the opportunity to fly for minutes in the tunnel. This controlled environment has other advantages; you can do it without being certified, you are not dependent on the weather and also the costs are significantly lower than outdoor skydiving.
City Skydive wind tunnels are staffed by certified tunnel instructors. At all times, the presence of an instructor is mandatory. As an experienced flyer, you get more freedom, but there will also always be an instructor in the door for safety.
City Skydive participates in the recognised Tunnelinstructor.org training programme and meets the highest mandatory periodic inspection requirements. The tunnels are also checked daily for proper operation.

As a recreational flyer, you stay within easy reach of our instructor. Or rather, the first few metres of our 23-metre tunnels. This ensures your safety and makes it easy to communicate with your instructor. As an experienced sports pilot, you are allowed to use the entire flying room.”
Absolutely, cozy right! City Skydive’s building is designed with lots of glass so visitors have a pleasant viewing experience both from the flight floor and on the terrace “the red wing” .

Een ongelooflijke sfeer en ervaring voor iedereen die zich voor het eerst eens een vogel wil voelen 😁 De professionaliteit van de instructeurs maakt het extra inspirerend. En je kunt er genieten van een heerlijk kopje espresso; het deed me denken aan een vakantie in het zonnige Toscane in Italië.
Erg leuk om te doen. Mooie ervaring die je gedaan moet hebben. Prima instructies gekregen door ervaren medewerkers. Fijne vluchten gehad . Best pittige prijzen maar begrijpelijk om dit te laten draaien.

Plus en minpunten… De ervaring is leuk en het is minder eng dan verwacht, iedereen kan het, je word goed geholpen. Maar wij hadden de Valentijnsdeal en dat was inclusief eten en drinken maar het eten kwam erg laat want toen was de pauze zowat al voorbij. Er zat ook niks tussen wat mijn man (een nuchtere Hollander) lust dus daarna moesten we alsnog naar de KFC ernaast… De wc hokjes waren ook heel erg klein, mijn knieën raakte de deur als ik zat. Parkeren kon wel lekker voor de deur. Personeel is wel heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Soms moest je wel een tijdje op de rest van de groep wachten voordat je weer eens aan de beurt was om een paar seconden te vliegen, dus je wacht langer dan dat je echt lekker vliegt. Verder was alles wel prima en goed te doen.
Voor herhaling vatbaar. Was geweldige ervaring en ga dit zeker nog een keer doen. Respect voor de instructeur, (Yourie) volledige aandacht en concentratie. Heb mij geen moment onveilig gevoeld. Top!!

Wat een fantastisch leuke ervaring vandaag! Samen met mijn man beide 3x 1 minuut geskydived bij City Skydive. Alles is goed geregeld (zoals materiaal, omkleedruimte en gratis kluisjes), we kregen duidelijke instructies van tevoren en tijdens het vliegen en we hadden een enthousiaste instructeur. Parkeren is gratis en er was vandaag voldoende plek.
Een reeds lang bestaande attractie langs de snelweg A2. Heel leuk om te ervaren en voo r sommigen gaat de leecurve snel en die kunnen na 1 of 2 keer echt wel zelfstandig bewegen door de ruimte. Zorg voor strak zittende kleding. Vraag als je brildrager bent een wat grotere bril om over de bril te dragen.
Altijd geslaagd en leuk. Ook ontzettend leuk voor kinderen en kinderfeestjes
Mijn home tunnel om te trainen ben hier minimaal 2x per maand is alleen jammer dat ze nog steeds dichtzijn op maandag en dinsdagavond dat beperkt het tunnelen voor springend nederland echt ten zeerste. Hierdoor lopen ze a inkomsten mis (gooi desnoods maar 1 tunnel open als je geen mensen hebt) en B er worden steeds minder teams gemaakt die de wedstrijden in NL laat achterlopen op de rest van europa. Erg jammer.
Het personeel is echt geweldig altijd vrolijk en behulpzaam! Staat altijd voor je klaar en zelfs hier en daar een tip om iets te verbeteren. Het werkend Team doen altijd ook hun uiterste best om het iedereen naar hun zin te maken!
